During his recent Radio 2 Blackpool performance David announced he was heading out to Honduras to help with some charity work at an orphanage and true to his word he’s over there right now rolling up his sleeves and getting stuck in. David Jordan wowed the crowds at Blackpool last weekend with a stunning acoustic set. He was in Blackpool at the Radio 2 party with a host of stars to celebrate this year’s illumination ‘switch on’, and after his performance he set-off into the crowd to see revellers who had turned-up to party. To mark the launch of the 2008 Blackpool Illuminations today (Aug 29) Radio 2 have put together a mega live concert and have invited David to perform for what is expected to be a massive crowd. He’ll join the likes of Boyzone and Scouting For Girls at the show which will be broadcast live on Radio 2 from 8.30pm. So listen in if you can or better still get down to Blackpool Promenade yourself to enjoy the gig in person.
David will be at the V festival hitting up the crowds this weekend. On Saturday he’ll be at the Chelmsford side of proceedings performing on the JJB Champion Arena stage with the likes of Jamie T, Sugababes, Estelle and Ian Brown before heading over to the Staffordshire site on Sunday. David was on top form this weekend when he rocked up to The 02 Wireless Festival at London’s Hype Park. Taking to the stage prior to sets from Mark Ronson and Jay-Z David charmed the crowd with an energetic set that saw him right on top of his live game.
